Santa Rio Taksim

I'm fairly certain this hotel is hiding behind fake reviews to pad its ratings, the hotel itself is definitely what you get for the price, which is completely fine, but after having stayed there it becomes very clear that the photos and descriptions are entirely misleading, the first picture on google maps uploaded by the hotel itself of that beautiful outdoor staircase is nowhere near the property and has nothing to do with the hotel, there was no view out of the window as all the pictures suggest (the hotel is located on a very tightly built street so the next building is barely a metre away and you can't even see the sky from your room), the elevator is very dated and there was loud construction going on in the other rooms for our entire stay (the hotel only has maybe 15 rooms so often they'd be drilling into the wall directly above or below us all day). Like I said, the hotel is just "fine", we had a clean room with a bed and a bathroom in a very good location, but the pictures paint it as a luxurious stay (or are even completely fabricated) and definitely use some trickery to make everything seem a lot bigger than it really is. The staff was kind and helpful, but some spoke very limited english. All in all I don't believe this large amount of people stayed at the hotel and gave it a flawless 5/5 rating with no complaints. Edit: I reread the descriptions and the hotel mentions some sort of garden view which is just entirely unplausible because it's the shortest of the surrounding buildings, I also just realized thar the staircase picture I was talking about is AI generated, these guys are clearly fully lying about everything from top to bottom, I got mad all over again and changed the rating from 2 stars to 1 star The owner review says "oh yeah some of the rooms have no view", no dude, none of the rooms have a view like that, all the buildings around the hotel are taller than santa rio taxim and the front does not have a balcony. In addition to that, there are as many if not more 5 star reviews from other supposed guests in the timeframe of my stay at the hotel than there were actual other guests at the hotel during that time which is just entirely unplausible, especially with the construction going on. To anyone traveling to the touristy areas of Istanbul, this is precisely the kind of behaviour you will encounter in 95% of your interactions when buying something. They lie to your face and take your money
