We booked this hotel for two weeks largely because of the restaurant next door, which looked excellent and was one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The restaurant had no chef for around 10 days during our stay, which meant extremely limited food options and, at times, no food available at all. What is even more frustrating is that the hotel never informed us of this before or during check-in. Had we known that the restaurant would effectively be non-operational for a large portion of our stay, we may have chosen a different hotel. For a hotel that advertises itself as a 5-star establishment, this is simply unacceptable. What kind of 5-star hotel has no chef and such limited food service for over a week? At the very least, guests should be warned in advance so they can make an informed decision. The rooms and location were reasonable, but the lack of food service and poor communication significantly impacted our experience. A true 5-star hotel should not have these kinds of issues. Based on our experience, the overall service felt much closer to a 3-star hotel than a 5-star one.
