GULER PALAS İSTANBUL HOTEL

Because of the holiday period, we chose to stay at Güler Palas (Rose Palas) Hotel from May 28 to May 30, trusting the photos and information provided on the Agoda website. We booked this hotel believing that our reservation included breakfast. At around 9:00 a.m., we tried repeatedly to contact the reception to find out where breakfast was being served, as no information had been provided during check-in. We called several times without receiving any answer. We even searched the building ourselves, checking both the entrance and the upper floors in an attempt to locate the breakfast area. It was only around 9:30 a.m. that we finally managed to reach someone at reception. To our surprise, we were then told that breakfast had already ended and that we would not be served. We showed the staff the information on the website stating that breakfast was available until 10:00 a.m., which is also a standard practice in most hotels. Only after insisting and arguing our case was breakfast reluctantly brought to us, and the staff's attitude throughout the interaction was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. The photos clearly show the quality of what was served. What disappointed us even more was the appalling state of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hotel. We were not expecting luxury or exceptional service considering the price we paid. However, basic cleanliness and acceptable hygiene standards should be the minimum requirement for any accommodation. Unfortunately, this hotel failed even to meet those basic expectations. The pillows, the bed, and especially the bathroom were shockingly dirty. The overall condition of the hotel was far below acceptable standards and raised serious concerns about guest health and safety. In our opinion, this property should be thoroughly inspected by the relevant health and tourism authorities. We chose this hotel because of its convenient location, but staying here turned out to be a huge mistake. I do not want to go into further detail because I believe the photos speak for themselves. We strongly advise future guests to think twice before booking this hotel.
