If you have asthma or are bothered by smoke this hotel probably isn't suitable. We had pre-paid for 4 nights, but within 10 minutes of being in our room had to take the loss and book another hotel for our Istanbul stay. My husband has asthma, and even I (no asthma) couldn't breathe in our room. It smelt as if someone had chain-smoked in bed for 40 years and every surface was imbued with it. Room was extremely small and claustrophobic, very tired, and cleanliness wasn't particularly high. Service we experienced was lacklustre. The location however is exceptional, which is why we had booked in the first place.
