I have stayed at the Riva Suriya twice, each time for two weeks. The location, which is within a 2-minute walk to a hop-on/hop-off boat stop, is ideal for travellers interested in visiting the many sites along the river (e.g., Wat Arun, Wat Pho, Grand Palace, Asiatique, IconSiam, Chinatown). The hotel is also located within a 5-minute walk to Khosan Road. Getting to Sukhumvit and other sites is a bit more work but easily achieved by taxi. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and spacious. The facilities, which include a pool, on site bar, and restaurant are more than adequate. The breakfast buffet has Western and Thai options, with plenty of fresh fruit and pastries. The staff - no matter the time of day -are incredibly friendly, helpful, and gracious. I felt spoiled! They made me feel at home on both of trips. I hope to visit again!
