Prince Palace Hotel Bangkok

We stayed here during our trip to Bangkok and had a mixed experience, so I'd rate it 3 stars. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and our room was clean throughout our stay. The hotel is also only a short car ride from many attractions. That said, there were several downsides. We had ongoing issues with our room keys not working, which became frustrating. Since we were staying in Tower D, we had to make the 5-minute walk to the front desk multiple times to have our keys reprogrammed, and then walk all the way back to our room each time. It was an inconvenience that really added up. The transportation staff waiting outside the hotel were also a negative part of the experience. They were very persistent about using their taxi/tuk tuk services, and once they realized we were using Grab instead (which was a fraction of the cost), we felt like we were getting dirty looks. The location also wasn't ideal for us. While it's easy enough to get places by car, it's not very walkable, and there wasn't much nearby for food or things to do in the evenings compared with other areas of Bangkok where we stayed. The elevators also felt dated and a bit sketchy, which didn't inspire much confidence. Overall, the hotel wasn't terrible, but it wasn't convenient enough for us to choose it again. There are better options in Bangkok if you're looking for a more walkable area with more dining and nightlife nearby.
