Park Hyatt Bangkok

Park Hyatt Bangkok is a good hotel. It is clean, conveniently located, and ticks all the boxes you would expect from a five-star property. But is it exceptional? No. Do the staff go above and beyond? Unfortunately not. Will I look back on my stay with fond memories? Absolutely not. The breakfast was particularly disappointing. Every morning, the bread at the buffet was stale. I mentioned this to the staff, who insisted it had been freshly baked. Rather than acknowledge the issue, they simply dismissed the feedback, so I eventually gave up trying to explain. It was easier to buy my own bread in the mall next door. The breakfast setting itself felt more like a busy train station than a luxury hotel. It lacked the calm, comfortable atmosphere you would expect at this level. The Penthouse Bar & Grill, the hotel’s premium steakhouse, also fell short. A restaurant of this calibre and at this price level should have no difficulty distinguishing between a rare and a medium-rare steak. The rooms are tastefully minimalist, although perhaps a little too austere. The hallway carpet, however, is an unfortunate shade. Would I stay here again? No. There are simply too many excellent luxury hotels in Bangkok that offer warmer hospitality, better attention to detail, and a more memorable guest experience. I would not recommend Park Hyatt Bangkok. Park Hyatt was indeed one of the top hotels in town in the few years after its opening. Not anymore.
